Philosophy of Care
My philosophical orientation comes from an understanding that secure attachments are the most important aspects of our lives. I believe everything is interconnected and that a key component to happiness is learning how to connect to the deep innate wisdom found in all of us and in nature. I believe basic human needs include the need to be seen, loved, and sought after. We also need purpose, creativity, joy, and the ability to grow. One of my primary goals working with clients is to practice the art of letting go of archaic patterns and beliefs that no longer serve them so that they can experience optimal spiritual, emotional, and physical health.
I use an integrative and personalized approach while working with clients. I incorporate different theories, techniques, and modalities that I believe will allow clients to fulfill their needs, wants, and desires.
One of the specialties I offer is understanding how primal wounding, a term that explains how any separation from a primary caregiver, most commonly our mother, can have long-lasting and sometimes lifelong effects on a person’s psyche. It often affects people’s ability to trust themselves, others, and/or the world. Primal wounding occurs between pregnancy and 8 years old. It is referred to as primal because children developmentally do not have access to the reasoning and rationalizing parts of their minds. Their primary belief is that they are the cause and effect of everything. If a child experiences any significant distress being separated from their mother, the child will unconsciously believe they were the cause of the separation and distress. This can lead to deep feelings of unworthiness and insecurity that clients often have a hard time describing. They often say things like, “It’s difficult to put into words, or I can’t remember ever not feeling this way.” This is often because those memories are stored unconsciously in the body and are experienced viscerally not psychologically. Therefore, it is important to access the knowledge and wisdom in the body; trusting the body knows what it needs to heal the mind.
If these attachment wounds are not healed the pattern of insecure attachments, like fractals, continue to show up in their relationships with others. Matrix Reimprinting, unlike many of the other more analytical modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that deal primarily with the conscious mind, is better equipped to tap into more of the subconscious and unconscious processing.
I also find this to be an outstanding technique for both women and men wanting to have a child who are wanting to change unhealthy familial patterns before they get pregnant or while they are pregnant. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Matrix Reimprinting (MR) are tools that help break vicious cycles.
I believe that relationships are the most important thing in our lives. They dictate our overall happiness and security. They determine the health of our psyches and spirits. I also believe that the most powerful healing comes from the support and love that surround us. “What is wounded in relationship must heal in relationship” (Onno, Ph.D. 2010).

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES (EFT)

EFT Tapping is a stress-reduction technique bringing calmness and peace to the body by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. It’s also referred to as "tapping" or "psychological acupressure". The tapping points are along the body's meridian centers to assist in releasing blocked or stored energy to help process emotional and/or physical discomfort. It was developed by Gary Craig who believes that a disruption in energy is the cause of all negative emotions and pain. EFT assists in shifting negative blocks (fear, anxiety, stress, anger, etc.) through the body, allowing them to process much easier; leading to a a more blissful state of being.
MATRIX REIMPRINTING
https://www.eastsidecounseling...
Matrix Reimprinting (MR) is a visualization technique that incorporates all the benefits of EFT and more. MR helps connect people with their limiting beliefs and enables them to transform these into supportive platforms for their future. MR can be used for both past and future memories, rewriting the story to give your younger self or future self what they need to feel better in that moment. Our beliefs shape our thoughts, alter our emotional reactions, and shape our reality; if we can change our beliefs, we can change anything. MR is a bridge between the conscious and subconscious minds and helps find the root causes of old patterns and beliefs by reimprinting events that are stored in the subconscious.
