Maia Pothier-Dodge Licensed Social Worker

MaiaClinical Experience

Maia loves helping people to live productive and meaningful lives. She understands the real challenges that can make it difficult to balance life, work, and family needs. She appreciates working with individuals who are open and willing to learn about themselves and how they relate to others. Maia enjoys teaching clients new coping skills and techniques to help them improve their daily functioning, thus improving the quality of their lives. Maia also believes it's important to allow clients space to process what is coming up for them and that which brings them into therapy. She is very respectful of where clients are in their process and supports and encourages them at every stage of their development. Maia works with a diverse range of issues from anxiety, depression through severe mental health disorders. She is open and honest and is excellent at building rapport and establishing a safe and trusting environment.

When Maia is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Maia enjoys tennis and golf and loves to travel as well. Maia was adopted from Bulgaria and has volunteered in two Bulgarian orphanages. She also recently found her biological parents and hopes to help them by providing humanitarian aid and services. Maia hopes to one day create an organization for Bulgarian orphanages. She loves her two puppies, her husband, and her stepson.
